Attach Images to Your 3D Scans

In some cases, you may want to capture high resolution imagery of your Dot3D scene from another device (i.e. DSLR). For example, this is common in forensics for evidence documentation purposes, in facility management for inspection purposes, or in any other scenario where additional 2D photo capture is also part of the standard operating protocol.

The Photo Annotation capability allows you to attach each of these photographs directly into your Dot3D scan file (at precise 3D locations within the scan) to leverage the best of both worlds: all the 3D detail of a Dot3D scan, and all the 2D detail of traditional photos, but with the significant added value of also having everything stored in a single compressed file, with each photo linked to relevant 3D locations and easily viewable from inside Dot3D.
