Using the Manual Frame Trigger in Dot3D

Manually Add Data & Details

Dot3D manual frame trigger feature allows you to capture specific spots of data with the precision you need while scanning. Manual frame triggering can be used to increase the density of captured data at any position you choose, to help fill in details of your scene.

While Dot3D will automatically trigger frequent frames of 3D data capture as you move though your scene naturally, sometimes you may want to manually trigger some more data capture on areas that didn't fill in completely on first pass or need some additional details added. To do so, just tap anywhere on the screen (that isn't a button) during scanning! You can always see when a frame is (or is not) being created by monitoring the frame count on the top of the screen.
